Lutheran Student House You are invited to our Advent Open House with refreshment & fellowship. Today, December 16th, at the Lutheran Student Center, 535 N.16th Street, from 4:00-5:30 pm.
Thrivent Build News Exciting news! The walls are going up on the Thrivent Build at 1511 ‘D’ Street. Due to neighborhood requirements, this house needed to be a two-story structure. For the safety of our Habitat and Thrivent volunteers, the decision was made to have professionals frame this home. Work for volunteers will begin after the framing is complete. Because of permit delays, weather and other factors this build will not be finished by the end of the year, however, volunteer work will begin soon and the dedication is planned for sometime in January. The Habitat family, Jesse and Martha Esquival, are working hard on their sweat equity hours. For information on volunteer schedules call the Habitat office 477-9184.
Cause of the Month December - Friendship Homes

Friendship home is a safe shelter for battered women and their families.

Food Pantry In December, the Lincoln Cluster Food pantry needs potatoes (boxed, canned or instant), canned fruit and vegetables, juice, macaroni and cheese dinners, and spaghetti sauce. Cash donations are used for immediate needs. To donate cash, place it in the collection plate, clearly marked “Food Pantry”.

The pantry is in need of donations at this time. So far in 2007 they have filled over 2,000 food orders and more to come as December is one of their busier months.

Thank You
