Crossways There is a sign up sheet for Crossways Bible Study in the narthex geared to find the willingness to commit time for the Bible Study course in the new year. Please let Pastor know of your interest and whether you can commit to an 8-14-16-30 or 60 session course.
One New Thing... Next Sunday we will hold the annual Stewardship Drive during both services. Our theme is “One New Thing”. The goal is to have every member sign up for one new activity on the Time and Talent Sheets that the Stewardship Committee will be distributing during the Drive. So, please take some time this week to think about the one new thing with which you’d like to be involved.
Note Mildred Hagerman is now at the Parkview Center in Beatrice. If you would like to send her a card, her address is 1201 S. 9th Street, Beatrice, NE 68310,
Christmas in July for Operation Christmas Child was a real success. We have 20 boxes ready to be shipped in November. We still need to collect $7.00 for each box. We will have a table set up between services to collect $7.00 to help get the boxes to the foreign countries.
Lutheran World Relief is coming up in November. We have had a good response for school bags. We have several health kits, but still need sewing kits and layettes. If you still have a bag you are packing, please bring it to church by November 1st, as the ladies will be packing the quilts for LWR.
75th Anniversary Celebration There is a sign up sheet on the table in the Narthex for you to sign up so we know how many to plan for at the 75th Anniversary Celebration Dinner on Sunday, November 18th, at the Lincoln Firefighters Reception Hall at 241 Victory Lane. Cost is $10.00 (kids 6-9, $5.00) Also, there will be a freewill offering can for offsetting the cost of materials for our banquet celebration. If you can help, please put some money in the can. P.S. We didn’t want to raise the price of the ticket.
Cause of the Month October - The ARC of Lincoln/Lancaster County

Donations for containers of honey support the ARC which raises awareness about developmental disabilities and provides services for people with developmental disabilities

Food Pantry In October, the Lincoln Lutheran Food Pantry needs macaroni & cheese dinners, canned juices, spaghetti-o’s or canned ravioli, and canned tomato products. We ask that you do NOT donate expired food—it will be discarded. THERE IS A REAL NEED FOR FOOD AND/OR CASH DONATIONS AT THIS TIME. To donate cash, place it in the collection plate clearly marked “Food Pantry”.

PLEASE REMEMBER OUR 75TH ANNIVERSARY GOAL TO FILL THE BARREL FOR THE PANTRY. LET’S SEE IF WE CAN FILL IT AGAIN BY OCTOBER 21ST.

REMINDER!! Daylight Savings Time Ends on November 4th!
