Meals on Wheels Every day of the week and every week of the year, Tabitha Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver about 325 hot, nutritious meals to Lincoln area residents. Trying to be self-sustaining, Tabitha has established the MOW Endowment Fund to provide ongoing interest income to help offset their operation deficit. Tabitha wants to raise $200,000 in endowment donations by November, 20007. Please consider generously contributing to this MOW Endowment Challenge to support the community of Lincoln and Lancaster County.
Health Kits WELCA Health Kit Alert! We have received an email alerting us to not include toothpaste in any health kit that is assembled. Some toothpastes coming from China are unsafe to use, so we are advised to remove all toothpaste.
VBS Thank You! To those who helped in any way, teaching, support, art, signage, crafts, food, kitchen, table parenting and on and on. Your participation made this one of the best VBS events in pastors long experience. Maybe, I just have a short memory; because it seems like year after year they are great blessings.
Congratulations to Colin and Michelle Wiggins on the birth of their daughter, Melanie Eileen, born on July 26th.
Dinner Club The ALC dinner club will be meeting on Sunday, August 19th, at Cici’s Pizza, (located in the Northridge Mall.), after the 10:30 am worship service. This is open to all members and friends of the congregation - please join us for good food and fellowship.
Lost! I’m still looking for a white tote bag with a set of keys -mostly looking for the keys. Does anybody know anything about these things that disappeared at VBS? Contact Pam McGill. There is a State Farm medallion on the keys, too.
Rally Day Rally Day/Sunday school celebration will be held on Sunday August 26th. This is going to be a time to register your student for Sunday school, meet the Sunday school staff, and have fun at our carnival. We encourage everyone to attend and get your children enrolled in Sunday school. Nancy has many new things planned for the coming year. Also, if anyone is interested in becoming a teacher or assisting in any way, please contact Nancy Clay.
