| Christ in Our Home | The July, August, September, 2007 issue of Christ In Our Home is now in the basket on the table in the Narthex. Both the large print and regular print are available. Please pick up your copy. |
| Home Communion Meeting | There will be a meeting on Tuesday, July 10th, at 7:00 pm for those people who signed up to give communion to our homebound members. |
| 75th Anniversary | On Sunday, July 22, Pastor Joe Marek will be our guest Pastor. |
| Bible School Registration | Bible school will be held July 23-July 27 from 5:30-8:00 pm. Registration forms are on the small table in the Narthex.. Please be sure to register your children and any others who might like to attend. |
| Food Pantry | In July, the Lincoln Lutheran Food Pantry needs Hamburger Helper, juice, macaroni & cheese or ramen noodles, and canned dinners (beef stew, ravioli, soup, etc.) Cash donations are used for immediate needs. Place your donation clearly marked "food pantry" in the collection plate. |
| New Member Class | A new member class will be starting on July 22 at 9:45 am. |
| Thrivent Financial for Lutherans | Sunday, August 5 at 6:05 pm is Faith and Family Night at Haymarket Park. Lincoln's Saltdogs will play the St Joseph Blacksnakes. The "No Better Cause" Christian band will be featured that evening. Every Sunday is Family Fun Day sponsored by McDonald's. Enjoy fun and games for all ages, plus you never know when Ronald McDonald will make a special appearance! The Lancaster County Thrivent Chapter is offering reserved tickets at $3 per person. These can be ordered through your local Thrivent church coordinators by July 20. The tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve bases. This would make a great outing for families, friends, and fellowship or youth groups. |
| Envelopes | American Lutheran is now using a direct mailing program for distributing offering envelopes. Envelopes are mailed from our distributor directly to your home on a bi-monthly basis. We must provide the mailing list for the September-October mailing to our distributor on July 15, 2007. So, if you have changes to your address or want to either start or stop receiving envelopes, changes must be submitted to Clarice or Joel Bacon no later than July 12. Any changes received after that date will be made for the November-December mailing. Thank you for your cooperation. |
| Cause of the Month |
July - Nebraska Prison Ministries Nebraska Synod Prison Ministries is an outreach program that partners Followers of Christ congregation inside the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP) with: * the Bridge, a prison aftercare ministry operated by Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, * the FEAST ministry of Our Savior’s in Lincoln, * the Rolling Hills cluster prison ministry near Tecumseh, and * the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. |
| Communion | There will be no communion on July 15 due to the absence of Pastor Henry. We will however, have communion on Sunday, July 22. |
