| Opportunities for Sharing Time and Talent | If you are aware of opportunities for sharing time and talent, please let Joel Bacon know by March 12, 2007. The opportunities will be published in the April newsletter. You can reach Joel at 484-0131 or you can leave a note in the Stewardship box in the church office. |
| Peoples City Mission Clothing Collection | The PCM has placed a clothing collection barrel in the Narthex for the months of February and March. They will be collecting two types of clothing – good clothing to give to the needy and unusable clothing they use to recycle. The unusable article can be anything of any material that is worn out, i.e. towels, rags, sheets, blankets. So clean your closets and help out a very worthy cause by bringing your discards in to church. It would help if you would separate the types into different bags. |
| Paint Party! | Before you give your paint clothes to PCM, keep them to wear at ALC’s paint party. The painting will start on Wednesday evening, March 14, 2007, if the paint is here. See you there! |
| 52 Verses in 52 Weeks! | We at ALC are embarking on a year-long journey of memorizing a Scripture verse each week. Each Sunday morning, a Bible verse from that morning’s lessons will be included on a small card in your bulletin—feel free to take it home with you. Additional cards will be available in an envelope outside Matt’s office. Today’s verse is from 1 Corinthians 10:13 |
| Cause of the Month |
March - Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity is a Christian housing ministry which builds homes for families in need. A family receives a no interest, no down payment loan but must give 400 hours of sweat equity (help build home or home of another family plus volunteer community work). Loan payments go back to build more homes |
| Food Pantry | In March , the Lincoln Lutheran Cluster Food Pantry needs rice, macaroni and cheese dinners, boxed potato products (scalloped, mashed, au gratin, etc.) , and canned dinners (beef stew, ravioli, spaghetti, etc.). Cash donations are used for immediate needs. Place your donation clearly marked "food pantry" in the collection plate. |
