Cash donations are used to fill immediate needs.  To donate cash, place your donation in the collection plate clearly marked “food pantry.”

Stewardship Packets

During both worship services on Oct. 30, the Stewardship Committee presented stewardship information and packets as part of its annual pledge drive.  If you were unable to attend one of those services, we encourage you to pick up a stewardship packet in the narthex during the next couple of weeks.  (The packets, or handouts, all have the Making Christ Known 2005 publication as the outer layer.)  After you review the included information, please complete the time and talent sheet and the financial pledge card, and return those items to the Stewardship Committee.  You can then place your completed items in the offering during an upcoming worship service.  Thank You. – The Stewardship Committee

Lincoln Lutheran Choir

Lincoln Lutheran Choir will present their fall concert Sunday, November 20th at Grace Lutheran Church at 4:00 pm.  The theme for this concert is based on excerpts from Herzogenbergs’ oratorio “The Birth of Christ”.  Other choral works of composers such as Buxtehude, Bach and Praetorius will be interspersed throughout the program as we sing of God’s promise, fulfillment and our adoration.  As is tradition, audience participation will be an important part of the concert so come share in the joy of singing!  Reception to follow the concert.

Baptismal Roses

The roses on the altar are in recognition of those who were baptized this past year.  If your name was called, you may pick up your rose after the 10:30 am service or talk with Pastor Henry about getting it at another time.

Our web page is www.americanlutheranlincoln.org  - there was an error in the November newsletter.  You can go to the web page and read Pastor Henry’s article that was to be in the November newsletter.

Thank You!

This is a heart felt thank you to Pastor Henry and all my Christian friends.  Your visits, cards, prayers and love truly overwhelmed me.  Thanks for being there for Marcia also.  This illness and surgery has been a life changing event for me.   Bruce Worth
