January “Cause of the Month” -
Friendship Home.
Their mission is
to shelter, support, and
advocate for victims of domestic
violence and their children.
Domestic violence can be verbal, physical,
mental, emotional, or sexual
abuse.
Mostly women find
themselves in domestically
violent
situations.
Occasionally men are also
battered victims.
Friendship Home gives
help by lending individuals
support in understanding their
dilemma.
A fulltime mental health
practitioner is on staff at
Friendship House. There are
staff who help educate victims
about Domestic Violence and ways
to break out of this cycle of
abuse.
Friendship Home reaches
out to families to help them
start a new safe life.
